Tampering Charges Filed In 3 Cocaine Arrests In Brick: Police

The three people arrested were found destroying evidence when a search warrant was executed, police said.

BRICK, NJ — Three people were arrested last week on cocaine and evidence-tampering charges after authorities found them destroying evidence during an investigation, police said Tuesday.

Shamaar Strand, 37, and Katherine Reyes, 30, both from Brick, and Isaiah Cruz, 24, from Rockaway, NY, were arrested Friday following an investigation by the Brick Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit, Sgt. Jim Kelly said.

Authorities executing a search warrant about 6:30 p.m. on Friday a home on Sawmill Road found the three destroying evidence at the time officers entered the home, Kelly said.

All three were charged with possession of cocaine and tampering, and released on summonses, he said.
