NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The Borough of North Caldwell offered an update for local voters earlier this week as the 2021 primary election approaches.

North Caldwell officials posted the following message to social media:

“The June 8 primary election will be held in person at polling locations (Notre Dame Church in North Caldwell). If you choose to vote by mail, you must request a mail-in ballot unless you are registered to permanently receive mail-in (absentee) ballots.”

Voters can request a mail-in ballot through this link.

Mail-in ballots will not be mailed to all registered voters, as they were in the 2020 election, North Caldwell officials stated.

“This year's election also brings a new voting method to Essex County,” North Caldwell officials added. “The traditional voting booths will be replaced by paper ballots that will be scanned. This allows for increased security and a paper trail of voter intent.”
