Patch: What attracted you to senior care? How did you get started in senior living?

Fiorese: The satisfaction of being able to make a resident's day brighter through caring and compassion. I started more than 15 years ago as a culinary manager.
Patch: If you had to sum up the mission of Arbor Terrace Roseland in five words? What would those words be?
Fiorese: We listen, respond and care.
Patch: What is the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you have faced in your job?
Fiorese: Balancing the administrative part of the job and my passion for being with the residents and building deep connections.
Patch: What is the most satisfying part of your job?
Fiorese: Building relationships with the residents, family and employees.
Patch: How would you say Arbor Terrace Roseland distinguishes itself from the other senior living communities in the area?
Fiorese: The Arbor Company has a very unique culture, and the positive support for residents and employees stands out compared to the competition.
Patch: What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given when it comes to success?
Fiorese: First, always treat others with respect and never speak down to others. Second, the foundation of an operation is set when it runs successfully with or without you there. The time and effort you put into training new employees will be the measure of success you will get out of it.
Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you are working on that you’re excited about?
Fiorese: We’re starting renovations in March. Upgrades will be made to our Assisted Living and Evergreen engagement areas and dining service area. In addition, we will be painting all common areas as well. We look forward to our upcoming facelift.

About Robert J Fiorese, CALA
Robert was born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey, and now lives in Easton Pennsylvania with his wife, Mary, and son Aidan. Robert graduated from Bayonne High School and went on to college to study Culinary Arts and graduated with his Associate Degree. In addition, Fiorese studied abroad in Holland for six months cooking in a 5-star hotel. Robert continued his education and graduated from Strayer University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management. Robert served our country proudly in the Army as a Quarter Master. Robert joined after the events of 9/11/01 because it was his patriotic duty to serve his country.
Robert has 15+ years of management experience in Assisted Living and is best known for his positive and motivational management style. Robert's favorite part of working in Assisted Living is taking the time to build relationships with residents, families and employees.
