This annual award has been established by the Borough of Caldwell to recognize women who have made outstanding contributions to our community. This award will honor an individual (or individuals) for outstanding contributions as a professional, volunteer, or agent of change. The Women’s Community Impact Award will be presented during the course of Women’s History month, March.
Residents are encouraged to send nominations to members of the Borough Council who will make the final selection of award winners. Current salaried employees or elected officials cannot be nominated. Women who are Caldwell residents or who are not current residents but have made significant contributions to our community are eligible.

Areas to be considered may include work for charitable, volunteer, philanthropic, and cultural institutions; service in the military; as well as economic, social, artistic, scientific and educational contributions; or being a “first” woman to break through a barrier.
Considerations for selection may include:
- Commitment to improving the lives of women and/or women and girls in the community
- Empowerment and inspiration of other women as a mentor, role model and/or friend
- Commitment to community service
- Demonstration of positive contributions to the lives of women and/or girls
This list is not intended to be inclusive, but rather to give some measure of excellence. The nominee need not excel in all areas. The contribution can be current, in the recent past or over a longer period of time.
