Caldwell Library Still Rebuilding Children’s Room After Flood

CALDWELL, NJ — For the cost of a car wash or a couple of movie tickets, you can help make a big difference for the children who use the Caldwell Public Library.
Hit hard during the flooding that wreaked havoc throughout the borough last summer, the library is still working on rebuilding its Children’s Room. With the countdown to “Giving Tuesday” ramping up, the library issued the following call for donations earlier this week:
“Help us ‘Reimagine & Rebuild’ our Children's Room. Our goal is to raise $25,000. If every household in Caldwell donates just $25 we can meet this goal! This is less than a trip to the movies with popcorn. For the cost of a nice car wash YOU can make a BIG difference.”
Library staff invited residents to check out the progress that’s been made so far at the room (see below). “The walls are painted and the new flooring is going in,” the library stated on social media. “We can't wait to be operating at 100% again.”
