Caldwell Is Looking To Hire A Part-Time School Crossing Guard

Caldwell Police: "As a crossing guard, you are a vital link to the safety of school children on a daily basis."

CALDWELL, NJ — The Borough of Caldwell is seeking to hire a part-time school crossing guard, officials announced Tuesday.

The Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory about the job opening:

“A school crossing guard is a part-time employee of the Borough of Caldwell. As a crossing guard, you are a vital link to the safety of school children on a daily basis. Crossing guards need to be available for a minimum one hour in the morning, one hour in the afternoon and two hours mid-day with the current school schedule.”

  • High school graduate
  • United States citizen
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license

The CPD continued:

“Successful candidates must pass an oral interview, background investigation and a medical physical. The Caldwell Police Department provides uniforms, equipment and training.
