In Caldwell: Work On Cedars Road To Affect Traffic

Construction is slated for Cedars Road in Caldwell. It will kick off Aug. 21 and last until Aug. 25, officials said.

CALDWELL, NJ — Construction is slated to take place in Cedars Road in Caldwell. It will kick off Tuesday, Aug. 21 and last until Saturday, Aug. 25, officials said.

The Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory about the road work:

“Construction is currently scheduled to begin on Cedars Road (one-way section) on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 and will continue through approximately August 25, 2018. Except for emergencies, all work on Cedars Road will be performed between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Depending upon conditions, some work may be required on Saturdays.”

“Cedars Road from Gould Place to Washburn Place will be closed to vehicular traffic during the construction. Detours will be in place. Cedars Road residents can park on Gould Place and the other section of Cedars Road during the day. Overnight parking will be allowed on all side streets surrounding Cedars Road (i.e. Gould Place and other section of Cedars Road) Residents who park their vehicles in their driveways overnight MUST have their vehicles out no later than 7 a.m.”

Residents will have uninterrupted night and weekend access to their homes and driveways, police said.
