Caldwell Schools Closed as Storm Drops Snow, Ice

Caldwell-West Caldwell Public Schools are closed Monday as a new winter storm is forecast to dump up to 10 inches of snow and a quarter to a half-inch of ice on North Jersey.

The West Caldwell Police Department issued an alert about the school closures at 4:17 a.m.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. on Monday for heavy snow, mixed with sleet and freezing rain, and changing back to snow.

Police in North and West Caldwell last night announced plans to suspend parking due to the snow.
