Caldwell Schools Plan Delayed Openings Amid Storm

Caldwell-West Caldwell Public Schools said classes will begin Tuesday on a delayed schedule to the winter storm, as significant icing is expected to slow the morning commute.

The National Weather Service issued an advisory warning of significant black ice on the roads and the risk of falling tree limbs. Temperatures are expected to run between six and 20 degrees in the area, with wind gusts of up to 35 miles per hour.

Caldwell-West Caldwell schools will delay openings, based on the following schedule:

James Caldwell High School will open at 9:45 a.m.

Grover Cleveland Middle School will open at 10:00 a.m.

A.M. kindergarten and elementary school, grades 1-5 will open at 10:15 a.m.

P.M. kindergarten will open at 1 p.m.
