Caldwell Water Main Project To Affect Traffic On Wakefield Place
A water main replacement project will affect traffic and parking on Wakefield Place in Caldwell from April 1 to 5, officials said.

CALDWELL, NJ — A water main replacement project will affect traffic and parking on Wakefield Place in Caldwell from Monday, April 1 to Friday, April 5, officials said.
According to the Caldwell Police Department, except for emergencies, all work on Wakefield Place will be performed between 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, weather permitting.
Depending upon conditions, some work may be required on Saturdays. No parking will be allowed on Wakefield Place during the aforementioned time period, authorities said.

The CPD stated:
“Wakefield Place will be closed to vehicular traffic during the construction. Detours will be in place. If you need to leave your residence during the construction, please do so before 7:30 a.m. If you need to leave your residence after 7:30 a.m., please park your vehicle the night before on one of the surrounding side streets. Overnight parking will be allowed on all side streets surrounding Wakefield Place. (i.e. Welshman Court, Ella Road, Central Avenue and Park Avenue) except for when snow is forecasted.”
Residents will have uninterrupted night and weekend access to their homes and driveways. Any questions can be directed to the Caldwell Police Department at (973) 226-2600, officials said.

The CPD added:
“If you have not done so already, we advise that all residents sign up for messages on Nixle.com. The Caldwell Police Department uses this messaging system along with Twitter and Facebook to alert residents of any important information that needs to be relayed.”
