Caldwells Obituary: Angela Dilger, Cancer Foundation Spokesperson, Sub Teacher

The West Caldwell resident was a spokeswoman for the EllaCris Women's Gynecological Cancer Foundation.

West Caldwell, NJ - West Caldwell resident Angela Dilger passed away on March 15.

“Angela M. Dilger, 63, of West Caldwell, N.J., entered into eternal life on March 15, 2016. The Funeral will begin on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. from Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Ave., Roseland, N.J. A Prayer Service will be offered at 10:00 a.m. with entombment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home. Memories and condolences may be shared at farmerfuneral.com.

“Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Rosario and Josephine (Chiusano) Staropoli, she resided in W. Caldwell since 1987. Angela was a substitute teacher at Jefferson School, Caldwell, N.J. and was an office manager for Comsec II, Inc., W. Caldwell. She was also a spokeswoman for the EllaCris Women'’s Gynecological Cancer Foundation.

“Predeceased by her parents, she is survived by her husband, Anthony Dilger; her daughters, Tara Signorelli-Bowman, wife of Scott Bowman, and Dr. Amanda Dilger. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Harding, wife of Roger Harding; and her niece and nephew, Lauren Acosta and Nicholas Campanile, Jr.

“In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Angela may be made to the research foundation of Dr. Whitfield Growdon, her gynecological oncologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, Yawkey 9E, Attention: Growdon Research Fund #216919, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.”
