Essex County: Ice Skating OK At Grover Cleveland, Not Verona Park
As of Tuesday, ice skating was allowed at Grover Cleveland Park in Caldwell but not at Verona Park, officials said.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The ice apparently wasn’t thick enough for a New Year’s Day skating session at any parks run by Essex County. But as of Tuesday, there was at least one pond in the Essex County system that was officially cleared for skating: Grover Cleveland Park.
On Tuesday, officials with the Essex County Park System announced on social media that recent freezing temperatures have made conditions suitable for skating on the pond in Grover Cleveland Park, located in Caldwell and Essex Fells.
