Essex County Obituary: Jean Falcone Leith

Essex County resident Jean Falcone Leith passed away on Nov. 10.

She was 99-years-old.

The following obituary comes courtesy of Farmer Funeral Home:

“Born Giovanna Falcone, June 23, 1916, to Italian immigrants Antonio & Christina nee Caprio Falcone.

“Pre-deceased by her brother Michael V. Falcone, sister Anna Marie Caprio. Also pre-deceased by her husband John Arthur Leith.

“Surviving are her sons and wives Gordon Leith (Maureen), Douglas Leith (Hilda) and Robert Leith (Leslie) and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

“She was very active in the Roseland Presbyterian Church, Roseland Historical Society, and the Roseland Town Set. She took pride as a homemaker and loved to entertain and cook for family and friends. She was beloved by her family, nieces and nephews and many friends. Right until her final days she knitted hats for premature infants.

“A memorial service will be held at the Roseland Presbyterian Church, 40 Freeman Street, Roseland, NJ 07068 on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2PM.

“In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Roseland Presbyterian Church.”
