Fairfield Firefighters Extinguish Fiery Tractor-Trailer On Rt. 80

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Fairfield firefighters put out a tractor-trailer fire on Route 80 on Tuesday, authorities reported.
According to a statement from the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department:
“Earlier today the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department responded to Route 80 west for a tractor-trailer fire. Upon arrival, crews began to extinguished the fire. Engine 1 remained on scene while Engine 2 and 3 shuttled water to the scene. Wayne Fire Company #2 and Pine Brook Volunteer Fire Department each sent two engines to assist with shuttling water. Hazmat responded to the scene as well as Atlantic EMS 7. Special thanks to the Montville Water Department for assistant at the fill site in Pine Brook.”
