Free COVID-19 Tests For Caldwell Residents: Where, How

A drive-through coronavirus testing site will be open for Caldwell residents on Monday, June 29.

CALDWELL, NJ — The Smith Center for Infectious Diseases and Urban Health is partnering with the Borough of Caldwell to offer free coronavirus tests to Caldwell residents on Monday, June 29.

No insurance is necessary, and residents with or without symptoms are encouraged to get tested, according to a municipal news release. Appointments will be required.

The Caldwell Police Department stated:

“A drive-through testing site will be open on Monday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the St. Aloysius Church parking lot at 219 Bloomfield Avenue. Drivers must enter the site through the main driveway off of Bloomfield Avenue and proceed down the driveway to the testing area. Please follow signage and directions once on site. Please do not block driveways.”

According to borough officials, 50 appointments will be scheduled each half hour for a total of 400 tests. The type of tests will be naso-pharangeal or nasal, depending on which is available.

Participants must wear a facemask and should not exit their vehicles while at the site. All testing is made possible through the generosity of private donors.
