Grover Cleveland Middle School Names Students of the Month
Sixth-grader Emma Krupp, seventh-grader Nicholas Pyontek and eighth-grader Spencer Travers recognized for May.

Grover Cleveland Middle School announced its Students of the Month for May. To be nominated as Student of the Month, students must achieve academic success, exhibit appropriate behavior, possess a positive and friendly attitude, be genuine in that they are understanding, honest, and caring, and be a creative thinker.
This month’s students are sixth-grader Emma Krupp, seventh-grader Nicholas Pyontek and eighth-grader Spencer Travers.
“We, as teachers, live for the 'a-ha!' moment,” teacher Dana Spina said. "Emma Krupp is a student who lets a teacher know that she has achieved that moment. Day after day, she shows a thirst for new knowledge and shows genuine excitement when she learns something new. She is consistently making connections between things learned earlier in the year and the current topic being taught."
“Nicholas is a serious student who enjoys learning and always tries to do his best work,” teacher Isabella D’Agostino said. “He is kind and considerate of his teachers and. He is a pleasure have as a student!”
“Spencer is a humble, conscientious student,” teacher Melissa Silverthorne said. “Spencer strives to achieve and work to the best of his ability. He is always polite and respectful to his teachers and his peers. He works well in all groups and is a role model for the GCMS community."
