CALDWELL, NJ — For the first time in school history, the Caldwell University women’s basketball team has ranked nationally.

The Cougars moved up to #13 in the Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll earlier this month. The Cougars ranked for a second consecutive week after receiving their first-ever national ranking in an earlier poll at #20, school officials stated.

As of Dec. 14, junior guard Kristen Drogsler (Middle Village, N.Y.) led the Cougars with 21.4 points per game and a team-high 33 triples. She contributed 3.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game, while shooting 50.8% from downtown. Drogsler led the CACC in points per game and was tied for three-pointers, was second in three-point percentage, eighth in steals per game and tied for fifth in assists. Drogsler sat in tenth place in Division II in points per game and three-pointers, and ranked 11th in the nation in three-point percentage. She is a two-time CACC Player of the Week this season and was recently named the CACC Student-Athlete of the Month for November.
