ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Regardless of whether you’re a Giants or Jets fan, Essex County sports fans had a common team to cheer for at the New York teams’ pre-season football game on Saturday.

The Fairfield Police Department Honor Guard presented the nation’s colors during the national anthem before the game. They were later invited to be the Giants’ guests and got a field-side view of the game, according to a FPD news release.

“I was extremely proud of how well the honor guard did and how well they represented our department” Police Chief Anthony Manna said.
