'Light Up The ​Calldwells' Moved To Rain-Out Date

The fundraiser will now be held on Christmas Day amid the threat of bad weather.

CALDWELLS, NJ — The threat of severe weather on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day has led to the "Light Up the Caldwells" fundraiser being pushed back by one day.

The event will now be held at 5 p.m. on Christmas Day, Caldwell-West Caldwell Public Schools Home & School Association.

Participants are reminded to place one candle in each bag, ideally weighed down with a scoop of sand, birdseed or gravel. Luminaries are to be placed in a front yard, curb or driveway.

Candles are to be set out and lighted to create a ribbon of light symbolizing neighborhood unity and creating a sense of "togetherness and hope," the CWCSD said.
