Main Break Near W. Caldwell Shopping Center Hampers Traffic: PD
A large water main break near the West Caldwell Plaza caused havoc for local traffic on Bloomfield Avenue, police said.
WEST CALDWELL, NJ — A large water main break near the West Caldwell Plaza caused havoc for local traffic on Bloomfield Avenue for the Monday morning commute, authorities said.
The West Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory at 5:53 a.m.:
“Water main break on Bloomfield Avenue in front of the West Caldwell Plaza. Avoid the area if possible… There is a significant water main break on Bloomfield Avenue obstructing eastbound traffic. Hazardous road conditions exist, please plan alternate route.”
West Caldwell police issued a follow-up message on social media:
