Milling In Caldwell On Tuesday; Road Work To Cause Detours

Milling in Caldwell on Tuesday will affect traffic and parking, police said.

CALDWELL, NJ — Milling will occur on Tuesday, Oct. 16 in Caldwell and will impact traffic and parking, officials said.

According to the Caldwell Police Department, the road work will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Cedars Road and Brookside Avenue. Police stated:

“Detours will be in place throughout the milling process and officers will be available to assist as needed. Once the milling starts at 9 a.m., residents and business owners will have restricted access to their homes or businesses with their vehicles. We kindly ask that you make any arrangements necessary to not interfere with the construction work.”

No parking will be allowed on Cedars Road and Brookside Avenue (a one-way section) in the area of the construction, police said.

The CPD wrote:

“Overnight parking will be allowed on all side streets surrounding Cedars Road and Brookside Avenue the night before if you need to venture out after 9 a.m. (i.e. Gould Place, Overlook Road, Westville Avenue, Parson’s Municipal lot and Kaplan Municipal lot).
