Milling In West Caldwell; Restricted Access Monday, Wednesday

WCPD: Residents will have restricted access to their homes with their vehicles on Monday and Wednesday in areas affected by milling work.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — West Caldwell police are advising residents of Westville Avenue near the Caldwell border that milling and construction work will restrict vehicle access to their homes from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, July 9.

According to the West Caldwell Police Department, milling will take place on Westville Avenue from the Caldwell border to Passaic Avenue.

“Detours will be in place throughout the milling process and officers will be available to assist as needed. Once the milling starts at 7 a.m., residents will have restricted access to their homes with their vehicles, however access to the Westville Pool will be available for patrons who need to access the property. We kindly ask that you make any arrangements necessary to not interfere with the construction work. No parking will be allowed on Westville Avenue in the area of the construction. WEDNESDAY MILLING WORK

In addition to Monday's milling, work will also take place on Wednesday, July 11, West Caldwell police stated.

The WCPD stated:

"Milling will occur on Wednesday, July 11 from 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. on Runnymede Road from Lane Ave to the Essex Fells border. Detours will be in place throughout the milling process and officers will be available to assist as needed. Once the milling starts at 7 a.m., residents will have restricted access to their homes with their vehicles. We kindly ask that you make any arrangements necessary to not interfere with the construction work. No parking will be allowed on Runnymede Road in the area of the construction. Overnight parking will be allowed on all side streets surrounding Runnymede Road the evening of July 10 if you need to leave the area prior to 7 a.m. Any questions or concerns please contact the West Caldwell Police Department at (973) 226-4114.”
