ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s help finding the owner of a lost dog found in Essex County on Friday.

The Fairfield Police Department issued the following advisory on July 5:

“Okay we need your help. This male husky was found near 112 Lehigh Drive a short time ago. Very friendly, with blue eyes and has a partially broken chain leash attached to his collar. We are guessing his chain snapped allowing him to escape from a yard. If you recognize him please contact the owner ASAP and have them contact us at 973-227-1400. Thanks for all your help and shares!”
