New Abstract Paintings on Exhibit at Roseland Library

Meet featured artist Sylvia Verbesky during a special opening reception on Saturday, November 9.

Livingston artist Sylvia Verbesky brings her large abstract paintings to the library starting Friday, November 8. Meet the artist and learn more about her creative process and eclectic background during a special opening reception on Saturday, November 9, from 2 to 4 pm. Exhibit will be open during regular library hours through the first week in December.A graduate of West Orange High School, Sylvia holds a BFA from Jersey City State and an MFA from Montclair State. She also earned an associate's degree in systems programming and computer graphics from the New School for Social Research in New York. She has worked as a K-12 art teacher, freelance computer artist, programmer for NJ Bell Telephone Co., and a consultant/facilitator for NJ CAP (Child Assault Prevention Program). She also enjoys working on various home improvement projects.
