CALDWELL, NJ — It’s possible to still communicate clearly when wearing a face mask – but it takes a bit of finesse, a Caldwell University professor and her students say.
Rachel Carey, chair of the university’s communication and media studies department, recently offered some useful tips to help people communicate amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In a video, Carey and Caldwell University students explain how to use other visual cues and non-verbal communication such as tone, pitch and enunciation to get your point across, even when part of your face is hidden by a mask.
