North Caldwell Death Was From ‘Natural Causes,’ Prosecutors Say
A man died in his North Caldwell home. Prosecutors said it was from natural causes.
NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — A death that took place in North Caldwell last week was from “natural causes,” authorities announced Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office initially said a death investigation was underway after a man died in his home on April 23.
The North Caldwell Police Department issued the following statement about the incident:

"We understand there is a lot of concern about a situation going on in town this evening. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office and the North Caldwell police are actively investigating a situation on the corner of Central Avenue and Cambridge Drive. We want our residents to know that there is absolutely NO THREAT to our community. All other information will come from the county prosecutors office at a later time."
On Tuesday, prosecutors said the death is not a homicide, and that the man passed away of natural causes.
