Paving In Caldwell Will Disrupt Parking, Traffic On Tuesday
Paving work in Caldwell may leave some residents and business owners without vehicle access on Aug. 18, officials said.

CALDWELL, NJ — Paving in Caldwell may leave some residents and business owners without vehicle access on Tuesday, Aug. 18, officials said.
The Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory about the upcoming road closures:
“Paving will occur on Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wakefield Place, Ward Place and Gould Place in the Borough of Caldwell. Once the paving starts at 7 a.m., residents and business owners will have no access to their homes or businesses with their vehicles until later in the day. We kindly ask that you make any arrangements necessary to not interfere with the construction work. Officers will be posted on each street and available to assist as needed. The Kaplan municipal parking lot will remain open. Entrance and exit will be from Brookside Avenue only during the paving process. No parking will be allowed on Wakefield Place, Ward Place and parts of Gould Place before and during the construction. Overnight parking will be allowed on all side streets surrounding Ward Place and Wakefield Place and on the south end of Gould Place or the Kaplan Lot the night before if you need to venture out after 7 a.m. (i.e. Park Avenue, Smull Avenue, Ella Road, Welshman Court and Central Avenue).”
