WEST CALDWELL, NJ — A retiring police officer in Essex County recently earned a touching sign of respect from his peers: a bagpipe-led walkout.
On Thursday, police shared a video of the tribute for Lt. Pavlos "Paul" Vanikiotis a happy and healthy retirement after 25 years of service with the West Caldwell and Roseland Police Departments.
“Thank you for your service to the community,” the WCPD stated in a social media post. “Enjoy your retirement, Lieutenant Vanikiotis!”
