Road Construction In Caldwell Will Last A Month: Officials
Construction is scheduled to start on Francis Place and Central Place on Thursday.
CALDWELL, NJ — Upcoming construction work near Francis Place and Central Place is expected to last about a month, authorities say.
The Caldwell Police Department released the following advisory on Tuesday:
“Construction is currently scheduled to take place on Francis Place and Central Place from Thursday, April 29 through Friday, May 28. Except for emergencies, all work will be performed between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Depending upon conditions, some work may be required on Saturdays.”

“There will be ‘No Parking’ on Francis Place and Central Place during the construction hours. If you need access to your residence during construction hours, you must park on another street and walk to your residence. Driveway aprons and sidewalks will be affected during the construction. Overnight parking will be allowed on Francis Place and Central Place and all side streets surrounding both roads (i.e. Caton Terrace, Ravine Avenue and Central Avenue). If you park your vehicle on either Francis Place or Central Place overnight, you must have your vehicle off the road by 7 a.m. the next day. Overnight parking enforcement will be suspended in this area. You will have uninterrupted weekend access to your homes.”
