Salvation Army serving homeless during COVID-19

In these unprecedented days of responding to Covid-19 and the coronavirus pandemic, we want to assure you that The Salvation Army Montclair Citadel is continuing in our mission to provide for the hungry and homeless in Montclair, the most at-risk members of our community.
Every Monday-Wednesday, we serve 44-55 to-go lunches, as a continuation and “social distancing” modification of our regular lunch program, The Table; and provide support to the homeless members of our community daily

We continue to offer social service case management by phone, to help provide stability through utility/rent/security deposit assistance.
The Cornerstone House continues to provide emergency shelter to individuals and families, with expanded hours to accommodate adjusted schedules and shelter-in-place directives;

We’ve restarted our weekly shower program, offering that important resource to those who most need it; along with a change of clothes.
There’s still much to be done as we continue pressing on in our call ‘to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.’ To that end The Salvation Army invites you to consider a financial gift to Montclair Citadel. Major Brett DeMichael, Commanding Officer said "With so much fear surrounding the pandemic, this is a time when I’m asking you to help your local community with a donation that will help us continue to provide vital, life-saving assistance".
