Sam Kent, ‘Man Of The Caldwells,’ Passes Away

CALDWELLS, NJ — A true “man of the Caldwells” is being mourned: Sam Kent.

Earlier this week, the Rotary Club of the Caldwells announced Kent’s passing, noting that the community has lost a “true Rotarian and a man of the Caldwells.”

The club posted a video featuring Kent’s long history with the organization over the last half-century (watch it below).

The West Caldwell Police Department also offered condolences for Kent’s passing on Sunday:

“Today we received the sad news that Mr. Sam Kent passed away. Mr. Kent dedicated his life to giving back to the Caldwells. He will be missed by the members of the West Caldwell Police Department. Rest in peace, Mr. Kent.”

Kent was active with several groups in the Caldwells, helping to spread the word about many community events with press writeups and photos over the past years. He’s also taken a direct hand in aiding worthy causes such as the Navajo Solar Light Project.
