Water Main Break In North Caldwell; Service Restored

North Caldwell Police: "If any resident is experiencing discolored water, please allow water to run a while to clear it up."

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — A main break was expected to interrupt service or temporarily create discolored water for some North Caldwell residents on Thursday. In addition, a section of Mountain Avenue was closed, authorities said.

The North Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory at 8:56 a.m.:

“Mountain Ave. will be closed at Hickory and Smull Ave. today between the hours of 9 a.m.-8 p.m. due to a watermain break. Residents in that area may experience breaks in water service or discolored water. Please use an alternate route.”
