West Caldwell Cops Get Thank-You Visit From Lost Dog

Marigold was lost. West Caldwell police helped get her home.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — The West Caldwell Police Department gets a lot of visitors who stop by to offer a personal thank-you to officers. But a dog showing up at the WCPD doorstep to offer gratitude? Not so often, police say.

On Sunday, West Caldwell police posted the following social media story about their visit from Marigold and her family:

“We often have visitors stop by to say thank you to our officers for providing them help. Today is probably the first time we have had a dog stop by to say thank you. Marigold came in with the Householder Family to drop off cookies and to say thank you for helping track her down this week. We are happy she is home safe.”
