West Caldwell Library March Events: ESL, Medicare, Irish Concert

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — The West Caldwell Public Library (WCPL) recently announced its slate of events and programs for March.

The following list comes courtesy of the library. All WCPL programs are currently held virtually. To register for adult programs, email richelle.defrank@westcaldwell.bccls.org.

Senior Strength Training: March 10th & 24th at 9:30am

These virtual classes with Leena Kalle are designed to help seniors increase muscle tone, flexibility, balance, and strength and endurance using easy-to-follow aerobic movements and gentle warm-up and cool-down exercises.

ESL: Every Saturday at 2pm

WCPL is offering ESL (English as Second Language) with Wendy every Saturday at 2pm. ESL teaches basic English to an adult population.

Medicare 101: Wednesday, March 10th from 6pm-8pm

Are you currently enrolled in Medicare? Will you be turning 65 over the next year or two? Learn about eligibility, how and when to enroll, when you can make changes, and the insurance options available to you. Review and compare what services are covered/not covered under Medicare Parts A, B, C and D. Detail the costs associated with medical and drug insurance. Explore and evaluate Original Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, Prescription Drug Plans and Medicare Advantage Plans. This program will simplify the choices you need to make, help you make more well-informed decisions and explain what Medicare means for you!

Irish Concert with Francine Joel: Saturday, March 13th at 2pm

AN IRISH SONG CELEBRATION - Treat your audience with Music, Movement and Mirth this St. Patrick’s Day. Songs such as “Danny Boy”, “The Wearing Of The Green”, “Harrigan” and many more! St. Patrick’s Day humor and a wee bit o’ step dancing! Francine and Joel perform your Irish favorites in the lively, engaging style that they do best.

In Full Color: Wednesday. March 24th at 6pm

In Full Color includes forms of art and fun, and shares original works including activist poetry and monologue. Performers, Daniela Rincon and Summer Dawn Reyes will present “My Body” and “Atlas of Emotions”.

Adult DIY kit to go: Face Mask Lanyard- Beginning March 22nd

This month's craft will be Face Mask string lanyards! All supplies will be provided! *This is for West Caldwell Residents ONLY*
