WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Need someplace safe to buy or sell things online?
The West Caldwell Police Department recently announced that it has created a designated area for safer internet transactions outside of its headquarters.
“We encourage the use of this space when meeting strangers to buy or sell items online,” police said. “We strongly urge you to never allow strangers to visit, or enter your home, to facilitate internet transactions.”

No items can be dropped off or left in this area for pickup. People must be present with their items to use the space, police said.
