The West Caldwell resident's photography has been displayed at the Mayo Performing Arts Center, Caldwell University, Bergen Museum of Arts and Science, JCC MetroWest, and various other shows and museums. Nancy, who is mostly self-taught, has taken classes at the International Center of Photography, School of Visual Arts, Santa Fe Workshops, as well as travel workshops in Tuscany and Provence. Drawing inspiration from Ansel Adams, Georgia O'Keeffe, Claude Monet, and Vincent van Gogh, she specializes in nature/landscape and still-life photography, and has experimented with different types of film. She is particularly fond of vibrant Polaroid emulsion transfers and the Polaroid image transfer process, which creates a muted, "dreamy" look.
"The challenge for me is to capture a specific moment in time, whether fleeting or long lasting, so that others will have the opportunity to see the beauty in the world to which I was drawn," she says.
