13th Annual Open Space Workday Scheduled in Chatham Township
The Chatham Township Environmental Commission will be creating a site for nature walks and study.

The Chatham Township Environmental Commission is hosting the 13th annual Open Space Workday, rain or shine, next month.
The event will take place at the Green Village Conservation Area on Saturday, April 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or any part thereof. Residents are invited to join the environmental commission at the conservation area, which is an old homestead dating from before 1928 and now owned by Chatham Township and the Morris County Park Commission, to create a site for nature walks and nature study.
According to the environmental commission, participants will pick up trash, prune brambles, spread wood chips on the trail and enjoy spring in Chatham Township. The area in which the event will be held is a habitat for birds and wildflowers.
