Longtime Resident Stan Brown Dies

William Stanley "Stan" Brown of Chatham Borough died.

Brown was a longtime resident of Chatham Borough along with his wife Leanna Brown, who was the first Republican woman to serve in the New Jersey Senate. 

A graduate of Mount Hernon School and Yale University, Brown worked as a scientist at Bell Labs. 

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stanley Congregational Church. There will be a light lunch following the service.

No wake will be held.

The family asks for donations to the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts in lieu of flowers.
