Apple Picking And Lenape Day In And Around Chatham This Fall
Fall festivities abound in Morris County, including Lenape Day in Chatham.

There are a number of ways to celebrate the fall around Morris County. Here are two events in and around Chatham:
Hillview Farms
Nestled in the Watchung mountain range, Hillview Farms is an old farm that has been around for 5 generations. The property offers many fresh fruits and vegetables, grown on its sprawling 57 acres. Located at 223 Meyersville Road in Gillette, the farm will be offering Pick your own apples and pumpkins this fall, through November. The farm is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. Lenape Day
Lenape Indians have hunted and made their homes in New Jersey for thousands of years, and evidence of their existence can still be found in the valleys and hills across the state. Learn more about these Indians, their customs, and their tools in the Lenape Celebration at the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center in Chatham Township. The event happens on Saturday, October 1 from 11 AM to 4 PM. You can also participate in a walk through wooded trails to understand how Lenape used the environment in their lives.
