Arctic Chill No Match For Chatham Turkey Trotters

Record numbers participated in the 10th annual event on Thanksgiving.

CHATHAM, NJ - Nearly 1,000 registered runners earned more than $27,000, shattering the donation record at the 10th annual Chatham Turkey Trot held Thanksgiving Thursday.

Chatham Township Mayor and President and Founder of the Turkey Trot Curt Ritter said despite the arctic chill, it was the most successful race in their decade-long history.

According to Ritter, this year's $27,000 brings the 10-year total of funds raised to more than $150,000. The proceeds of the event benefit the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Diabetes Research Institute, the Chatham Emergency Squad, and The Barton Center for
Diabetes Education.
