Candidates Battle in Chatham Township's Contested Republican Primary
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Chatham Township will face the only contested election in Tuesday's primary when four Republicans square off for two township committee seats.
Incumbent Kathy Abbott and running mate Michael Kelly are opposing Peter Fico, a former township prosecutor, and Karen Swartz. No Democratic candidates have filed for the primary.
Abbott is running to keep her seat, while longtime committee member Bailey Brower Jr. is not seeking re-election.
Republican Chatham Borough councilmen Gerald J. Helfrich and James Lonergan are running unopposed in Tuesday's primary. There are also no Democratic candidates in the borough's primary election.
