Chatham Alumna Named UGeorgia Student Employee Of The Year
Kelly Krincek has aided the Office of the Dean of Students in Georgia and from her home during quarantine.

ATHENS, GA — Kelly Krincek aided the University of Georgia' Office of the Dean of Students from Athens and in her home during quarantine. The university recognized the Chatham High School alumna for her efforts, naming Krincek its Student Employee of the Year.
Krincek began working as a student media coordinator for the office in August 2019. She joined the small marketing and communications team when its full-time web developer prepared to leave. The outgoing web developer spent her last days at UGA training Krincek, who learned quickly. It wasn't long before the office trusted her with even the most challenging requests.
She also led video production products for the team, which involved interviewing subjects, capturing footage and producing final products for student-engagement initiatives. One of her most notable accomplishments, according to the university, was a video profile on a fourth-generation UGA family that she scripted, filmed and edited.

While quarantined in New Jersey during spring 2020, Krincek took a leadership role to help prepare for the dean's presence at the virtual new-student orientation. The entertainment media studies major developed solutions to recreate the dean's typical in-person interactions with students, producing a 30-minute video of the dean's presentation with student testimonials.
“Without her, we would not have been able to reach out and engage students as effectively during the pandemic,” said supervisor Don Reagin, who nomimated Krincek. “She is the embodiment of excellence among student employees.”
