Chatham Borough Farmers' Market Offers Healthy Snack for Children Returning to School
Jersey Fresh produce will continue to be available until November.

The Chatham Borough Farmers’ Market is helping kids return to school by bolstering brainpower with nutritious food.
The volunteer booth will be distributing Market pencils and a free apple, provided by Melick’s Towne Farm, to all area children Sept. 6 as the market celebrates Back-to-School Week.
Jersey Fresh produce season will continue at the market until the end of November.

Patrons will find foods from the transitional phase as summertime treats phase out and autumn treats are at the beginning of the harvest, such as apples, tomatoes and squash, eggplant, Brussels sprouts, winter squash and root vegetables.
The market will be at Fairmount Avenue train station parking lot from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. rain or shine until Nov. 22 and is open to residents and visitors. Parking for the market is free.
