The Bridging Space to Place campaign supports a comprehensive $4.5 million plan to improve the Library by reconfiguring its current space. Upgrades include a renovated children’s center with activity room, new teen center, STEM room, new business center, expanded local history facilities, additional study rooms, flexible meeting spaces, and infrastructure enhancements.
With funds raised from generous donors and community initiatives such as Dine Out, plus a strong reserve fund, the Library itself will fund approximately $1.7 million of the renovation. For the remainder, the Library will look to Chatham Borough and Chatham Township, and expects to apply for matching funds made available by the recently passed $125 million New Jersey Library Construction Bond Act.
