Chatham Middle School Goes Under the Sea With February Musical

Chatham Middle School students are venturing “under the sea” in Chatham this February, delighting audiences with a spirited rendition of “The Little Mermaid Jr.” beginning Feb. 5.

The family-friendly production will feature 80 cast members and over 50 crew members – all students at the middle school.

“The Little Mermaid is a show that sparkles. It sends you home singing and dancing, and what these kids have put together will absolutely evoke that,” Gregory Paradis, Director of “The Little Mermaid Jr.” expressed in a statement. “These kids have been practicing like crazy since October and I’ve had a blast every second.”

Director Mr. Gregory Paradis, Musical Director Mrs. Veronica Shaw, and Choreographer Mrs. Nina Packie lead the Chatham Middle School production of “The Little Mermaid Jr.”, with original costumes designed by Maddie Kevelson.

“These kids are so talented and enthusiastic, and I consider myself blessed to be working with such a great group,” Paradis stated.

Tickets are $6 each and can now be purchased at the main office at Chatham Middle School, located at 480 Main Street, Chatham, during school hours and at the door, as available. The show is approximately one hour long without an intermission. Senior citizens are invited to attend Thursday’s performance free of charge.

• Thursday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.
• Friday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
• Snow Date: Sunday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m.
