Chatham Middle School Students Take Home Top Honors at LBI Longboard Classic
Two boys won the under-15 surfing and skim boarding contests, respectively.

Surf’s up! Two Chatham boys proved they could hang 10 with the best of them.
Chatham Middle School Students, Colin Schroeder and Owen Reddington, both 13, took first place in two respective categories in the under 15 division at the highly-competative Long Beach Island Longboard Classic last Saturday.
Schroder placed first in the surfing contest while Reddington took first in skim boarding.

The competition only allows vintage boards and judges competitors based on classic contest criteria such as nosedives, hanging ten, cheater fives, dropknee turns, fin first takeoffs, spinners, length of ride and cross-stepping style. No leashes or board modifications are allowed.
