Chatham Police Investigating Three Weekend Burglaries

Police in Chatham are searching for suspects in a string of three home burglaries that occurred the evening of Sept. 5 and into the morning hours of Sept. 6.

The burglaries occurred at homes located at Center Avenue in the area of Harvard Street, one on Washington Avenue near Front Street, and on Weston Avenue near Elmwood Avenue.

The burglaries on Washington Avenue and Weston Avenue took place when residents were sleeping in the home. It is not clear if the burglaries are related.

Police advised the community in a release to keep all windows closed, doors locked and items near windows that could be used to force entry should be moved.
