Chatham takes down West Orange 6-5. Team qualifies for USABL League World Series.
CHATHAM, NJ - The U11 Chatham White Travel Baseball Team won the USABL American North Division Championship in a come-from-behind victory over West Orange 6-5 on Sunday.
According to Coach Jeff Temple, the game was a back and forth battle with West Orange jumping out to an early lead, Chatham countering in the middle innings, and then the game getting tied at five in the sixth and final inning, sending the game into extra innings.
Brady Byrne, Dylan Temple and Ryan Leach all pitched for Chatham, with Leach closing the game out. In the bottom of the seventh inning, with two outs and Chatham with runners on second and third, Dylan Temple got the walk off hit with a line drive into the gap in left center field, driving in Leach for the win.
