Chatham Woman Inducted to Psi Chi

The honor society has 1,054 chapters in colleges and universities throughout the US.

SCRANTON, PA -- Katherine DeFries of Chatham was among The University of Scranton students inducted into Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology.

Founded in 1931, this organization has chapters in 1,054 colleges and universities in all 50 states. The Jesuit university's chapter was installed in 1969.

For membership, students must major or minor in psychology, ranking in the top 35th percentile of their class and maintain superior scholarship in psychology. DeFries is a senior at Scranton.
