Chatham's Colony Pool Club To Open Registration Soon
It's not clear yet which state regulations New Jersey pool clubs may need to follow this summer.
CHATHAM, NJ — The Colony Pool Club expects to open registration by mid-March. Members should watch for an email or Community Pass announcement for the exact opening of registration.
The Chatham Township club will also announced the opening of registration on its Facebook page.
It's not clear yet which state regulations New Jersey pool clubs may need to follow this summer. The Colony Pool Club opened last year with modifications based on coronavirus regulations.

Gov. Phil Murphy allowed municipal and private-club pools to reopen last June with the following regulations:
- Capacity is reduced to 50 percent
- Staff and patrons must safely distance
- Signs and makings should denote 6 feet of space between people
- Face coverings are recommended, but not in the pool
- Pools should stagger access points for entry and exits
- Reservations are requested
- Guests should sign-in to help with contact tracing
- Occupancy in restrooms should be limited
- Foot coverings much be worn in restrooms and shower areas
- Staff should be screened for fever and COVID-19 symptoms
- Gloves should be worn by staff
- Disinfection should happen frequently
- Pool toys shouldn't be permitted
The Colony Pool Club was established in 1928 as a local swim club. The facility includes 8,300 square feet of soft beach sand, six swimming lanes and many other available activities.
